The style we have tried to create combines modern levels of comfort whilst retaining as many of the house’s period features
We are fully aware of the environmental impacts that tourism can have. We are also acutely aware that to reduce this impact it often results in a diminished experience for travellers, which is not what we are about.
To this end, behind the scenes, we have changed certain ways that we operate, including more insulation, recycling, use of LED bulbs and in 2024 to make our guests visiting during the colder months, we completed the installation of an Air Source Heat Pump heating system, with smart controls, which means you will be cosy and warm.
For those who long for a log fire we are still able to provide that as well.
